The construction manager, Chia droved us to the project site at Al Marj this morning.  We heard that the site is almost as big as the Tampines Town in Singapore, about 420 hectares.

It was bare but we saw some beautiful olive trees.  Took this nice one before it will be removed in the near future.  The turkish site is beside ours and we saw some lovely donkeys over there.

The tour was a short one as it is located just 5 minutes away from our villa.  We went back before lunch, we offered to prepare fried rice for the group.  We are introduced to Fouad, the assistant project manager, another libyan shortly.  He has helped us to source for a cook, she’s a libyan but couldn’t understand English.

Fouad helped us to translate a food list from English to Arabic for us so that we can communicate with her.  We hope to train her to prepare Asian dishes for us in future.  Lesson 1 was fried rice for lunch, she was good.  We decided to let her cook some libyan dishes for us for dinner.

Little crisis surfaced in the kitchen when she tried to tell me to get some ingredients for her fish but I couldn’t understand.  The translation list does not work!  We thought she wanted bread when she pointed at the bread.  I have to get SOS from Fouad who happened to come by and we realised she needed FLOUR!  Oh my, the next time when she points at the eggs, I will have to find a chicken for her!
